TMBWITW,PB_____Please do not try this, a few years back a coworker had an underground nest of Hornets,Wasps, does it matter. Well he got his can of either (starting fluid for his tractor) and sprayed the whole can into the hole, then he thought what if it did not kill them but just put them to sleep. Thinking that he did not want them to wake up he threw a lighted match into the opening, when he got back up onto his feet nearly twenty feet away he noticed that the hedges and flower beds were gone and he had a large smoking hole and a cracked basement wall.

TMBWITW,PB_______Do try this, if you know where the nest is pour boiling water into the opening it is not toxic to the earth and takes out the problem.

Haha, thats a great story. I've used lighter fluid and a match on ants that were out in the open, but nothing like that. Ether can be fun stuff to play with, but thats just me, I like explosions and fire.

Gee, I wonder why I am a chemist.

lighter fluid and ether are all great but petrol and polystyrene balls makes great napalm, might want to give it a go.
