Since I was given my gmail invite from jaceraven, here on geekculture, I figured I'd do the same.

I have a gmail invite available to me, free to whomever wants it. Any takers?

More importantly - have you cleared your cookies - sometimes Google cookies get 'stuck,' and can cause problems (this was giving me trouble logging into GMail, for instance).

I've got four invitations left. Send me a p/m with your name and e-mail address if you want them.

It seems like g-mail invites are like love. The more you give away the more you have. I have 3 and would like to share the love. E-mail me if you have a hole in your life that can only be filled by a good google.

I'll post if they get used up, because if this g-mail invite thing has suddenly become a buyers market, then there is no sense in a bunch of people posting that they have some to give away.

What is this (http://www.logichigh.com/spooks/spookimg.php?id=29)? I have no intention of letting such a file load on my machine - I imagine it's either a tracking cookie, or your address in a picture.

I *heart* links.

D-Man's right. I apologize in advance for shamelessly using the GC board viewers as a bunch of guinea pigs for the website concept I'm working on. (Although the post is still honest, I really do have g-mail invites leftover) [Smile]

The pirate babe in the icon above is a proof of concept and a working model.

The page has a full description of my idea on it. However new account creation is currently suspended until I can get it out of Alpha into a working beta.

The idea is that web statistics, counting, and logging has a potential for evil. But that doesn't make the technology itself evil. The Cookie based/web tracking PHP evil that D-man so nimbly avoided by using Links has been available to those who would use it for evil for quite some time (Advertisers? Porn?). I wanted to make it available to the general public, both so that they could take advantage of the cooler features of hit tracking, and so that they would become more aware of just how much information a little graphic can get from you.

You disappoint me Tut. Even when reinventing the wheel, there's knowledge on the way.

I'd love to have a Gmail account. Maybe it'd help me get a job. Of course, how many employers actually know about Google, etc.? [ohwell]

WOW! And all this time I've been sitting down writing a PHP based site using a MySQL backend for data collection when I just simply could have put up a website telling the average user how to open up and search through their server logs! I'm sure that's much easier [Razz]

I must be retarded!

Oh, and just so I don't abuse the subject of this chain too bad here's a couple that are on topic:

CT's covered; a new g-mail user.
Also, it seems that every time I give one out 3 more appear, I've got 6 to give away still. Just send me a PM or e-mail if you want one.

Yup,
Kevin

Hmmm, looks like they're handing out lots of invites, I've got 5.
If anyone wants one, drop me a line on my gmail.com account, the first bit is gdruid.

It seems everyone who wants one already has one.

If you still need one, just e-mail me drunkennewfiemidget at gmail dawt com and I'll just reply with an invite. I still have 3, and like I said, no one I know needs one.
