Being the master of promptness and all, I thought I might just post news of this event, which transpired on Saturday [Smile] . No particular reason for posting about it, but other people have been posting kind of cool news, and this is kind of cool to me. Now to start work full time come June (though I'm still working there right now for my current weak pay - I've got to make headway on my lead project), and do a little travelling before then [Smile] . Then, I've got to find a place to live.

I've got a picture somewhere..../me looks around the Interweb, lifting up bits of carpet and opening random drawers...ahh, here we are - I could crop and downscale the picture my prof took from the stage whilst receiving the diploma, but I'm feeling too damn lazy to do that now, instead, here's the screen capture I took from our streaming video of the procession:

Congrats! [thumbsup]

Ah! That nice feeling of not going back to school that comes every August or so... Replaced a couple of years later by the blues of not going back to school, but that's another story. [Big Grin] Until it hits you, enjoy being part of the full-time working class, with all its perks, like two weeks (or more) of paid vacation per year!

Thanks everyone [Smile] .

And in answer to that question - hopefully in a year.

Now, back to my regularly scheduled work of eating some really tasty baklava and drinking coffee -- oh, and testing the mail server software [Wink] .

Yeah, and go figure - I've all but signed the contract, and a prof. I know tells me about a job he thinks I'd be fit for that would make $80k/yr in the city...oh well. I can be comfortable in the knowledge that I have great coworkers, and a less intense work environment. That, and I really don't want to be a paid programmer (I enjoy doing it for myself, and open source stuff, but I'd hate to do it 40+ hrs a week).
