If you only know him as a minor movie star, he is also a great country singer/songwriter. There is quite a good profile of him by Ethan Hawke here. When his second album The Silver Tongued Devil & I (Spotify link) was released, he was a part of that Waylon Jennings/Willie Nelson outlaw country music thing, and just so hip it hurts.
