I'm going on a third date with a nerd/geek and I'm trying to get some ideas of where I can take him that will blow him away. I'm not particularly nerdy myself, so this is all new to me. He likes the typical D&D and Renaissance Fairs. He works at a help desk for the IT department in his company. Where can I take him during the day/early evening on a Thursday?

It's not really a "geek" experience, but it is a rather mind-blowing one. Plus, you'd have to wait until August when they have their next show.

Okay, yeah, probably not.

More realistically, you could try the California Science Center or ,if you're willing to make it an evening instead of afternoon date, you could even dress funny and possibly embarrass yourselves in public.

I came in to say "Griffith Observatory," but Snaggy won in 1. [Big Grin]

Apparently since the refurbishment it's a great spot. Go at sunset! Terribly romantic.

Science Center is also cool! I love the A-12 spy plane in the yard. Later on they'll have a whole Space Shuttle, so maybe save that for later... and I have no original ideas. Hmm.
