I know that I don't post very often, as I used to do. Being in grad school with comps coming up doesn't leave much time for checking up on friends off or online..
I have made some time, though, to get to know a certain math major (who just defended his dissertation). He also wants to marry me [Smile] We've been dating for 11 months, and he proposed to me last week!

Thanks everybody. Who woulda thought a Lit super-nerd and a Math nerd would get hitched?

We are thinking of setting the date for 11/11/11. That's binary for my age next year [Razz]

I'm afraid it's true. You'll just have to get married in January instead, or 10 days earlier.

0b11111 =
16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 31

0b111111
32 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 63
(accurately 62 as you wouldn't have hit that birthday yet...)

Thanks so much [Smile]
He doesn't want to wait. The date may be moved up to 09/10/11. Maybe that's better--I won't have to worry about binary mistakes!

Whenever you get married just remember to engrave teh date on the inside of his wedding band, that way he is less likely to forget the date. ( I did and haven't forgot yet, plus, when someone asks at a dinner party or whatever when you got married you can always nonchalantly remove the ring under the table and check!

Um...it's the day before 9/11 - IMHO, not that hard a date to forget.

Similarly, a friend of mine got married on 9/12 - kinda didn't know why she thought I'd need a 'save the date' after she said that.

There are dates I'm plenty crap about remembering, but usually things that have 'interesting' qualities to them, or this this case, are adjacent to dates I shain't be forgetting anytime soon, stick with me pretty well.
