Don't know if any of you caught it, but I just did the streamy thing over at ABC.

Here's the link: Gibson/Palin Interview

For someone who didn't seem to know the Bush Doctrine (Paraphrase: Kill 'Em All, Ask Questions Later), she sure sounded a lot like Bush. Even with the "evil terrorists" remarks.

Let's hope and pray, for Obama's sake, she becomes a liability.

"Have you met any foreign leaders?"

"No, I have not... but ... but you can see Russia from Alaska."

And, yet, somehow, I don't think most Americans find anything wrong with that statement.

However much I detest just about everything she stands for, I have to say that for someone in their first major TV interview, she came across very well, and looked rather more relaxed than the interviewer. She has an air of clear purpose and natural authority that reminds me rather scarily of Mrs Thatcher. I would surmise that if he gets elected, McCain's main job will be simply to keep the seat warm for her until 2012.

Scary realization: I probably have more foreign experience than Sarah Palin. [Wink]

However, I know my limits, and know I'm not cut out to be POTUS or VPOTUS. [Razz]
(Pity she can't see the same about herself.)

For that matter, I don't even have any concerns about the next leader of a major world power being the kind of person I could 'have a beer with.' (I continue to be floored by the fact that people choose this as a reason to call McCain a better candidate. I want someone who gets the job done...I wouldn't want a president who would have a beer with me! ;P)

I haven't viewed the video of the interview, so I can't speak to her 'presence,' but I read the transcript over lunch, and I'm quite terrified of 'that woman.'

Don't let that worry you, you have more foreign experience than GWB had when he started, and he's done a fine job. [crazy]

Palin is noise, a distraction from the issues. Pure Rove.

Move along, nothing to see here. Move along.

*ahem*

She might be noise...but she's poised to become the President if the ever-young John McCain were elected and fell ill or died in office...
