about 2 weeks ago, i watched the first episode of Xamd: Lost Memories

It's sadly exclusive to sony's big black bru-ray monstrosity

but you can find it other places...

I like it alot, its got a kinda Evangelion meets Steamboy sorta feel

Anyone else check this out yet?
and what do you think?

In general, I prefer anime that doesn't involve school girls being groped by giant non-human characters.

No spaghetti breakfasts, either.

I like anime but shy away from any anime with teenage girls in miniskirts and with double d's. It reaches a point when it is no longer anime but soft core porn and then the stories suffer.

I get what you are saying, now you got me curious, what do you consider "anime?"

could you possibly list a few favorites?

Naruto is my favorite right now. Mind you I watch the Japanese version with English subtitles because I could not stand Naruto saying "believe it" at the end of every other sentence.

Another one that I have is Rurouni Kenshin, but I have to admit I prefer the manga to the anime because they never finished the story in the anime version.

If you like sci-fi, see if you can find Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars but again the manga is better than the anime.

Finally, if you like the surreal, Serial Experiments Lain is an excellent anime.

Never got into Naruto, i really got hooked on FLCL just for the over-the-top factor and totally random pop culture references... im not sure if I think that the manga is better, but it is definitely different...

I'll have to look up crest of the stars and banner, never heard of either of those.

Yeah lain rocks, i own that set...

Do you like neon genesis evangelion?

I dug it, thats kinda why i started talking about Xamd, but i think the picture that i pasted, although suggestive from the moment of scene capture for sure, really isn't that explicit by default. Although, i have only seen the first episode, its difficult at best what to say the future of this series will become...

but still maybe i should find a less provocative image as the basis to how new comers view the series as a whole.

thanks for the feedback dr. who!

Did you like cowboy bebop? Thats pretty much what brought me back from the anime grave...

I've heard of .hack, just never gave it a shot...

Have you seen the Persona Trinity Soul series yet?

Not that bad, not spectacular either but still interesting and fun to watch for the most part

Cowboy Bebop was cool. (what little i saw) but nothing that made me jump up and want to go hunt it down to watch more. .hack on the other hand was the only anime that I have ever gotten hooked on. (I actually finished watching the DVDs of my brothers before he did.)

Other then .hack and a few episodes of only a handful of other shows I dont watch any anime (.hack is the only one I actually try to watch) because I generally dislike how fake the shows can be.

give it a try.
