Vegetarianism is not a bad lifestyle. Did it for quite a few years. I still prefer veggies over meat, three years after the fact. It is difficult to be a vegetarian if everyone you live with isn't.

Also you can tell how able a cook is by the quality of their veggies. Meat is fine so long as it doesn't crumble into dust on your plate. Veggies are another matter completely.

Note I am not, nor have I ever been, a Birkenstock wearing tree-hugger. I just had a period in my life where the smell of meat would make me gag. And the 30 lbs. of excess weight that dropped in 3 mos. kept me a vegetarian.

/looks at expanding waistline [ohwell]

Now on to favorite food.

Fried tofu in hot sauce. Ma Po Tofu. Mmmmm.

What kind of gravy? Chicken, beef, turkey, something called gravy but not really gravy (thickened broth)?

Favourite drink would definately have to be root beer.

Favourite food... solidified root beer..?

The doctors are lying when they tell you that your body needs more than root beer to survive.

If I have to choose one, my favorite food would have to be boiled crawfish. My favorite drink just recently changed to Cherry Dr. Pepper.

How about my favorite sushi: uzura tobiko? (Flying fish eggs with a raw quail egg yolk on top.) Nothing quite like fishy pop rocks and the sweetness of the yolk mixed together--delicious!

There's a fry truck in downtown ottawa right around the corner from my work that makes the best poutine. Ever. MmMMMmmMMMM..

As for actual serving, if I had my TV hooked up to my 52" like I do sometimes, then that'd be one helluva serving.

Holy God... that made me gag! I'm sorry, I'm just not up for anything really unhealthy. I haven't been to a fast food restaurant in several years. And don't hurt me... but I've never had bacon in my life, heeh. I eat all meats except for anything that comes from a pig - euck.

I was a vegetarian for about five years. I had given it up for Lent when I went to Catholic school, but when the week was over I thought 'that was too easy... I could do without it for at least a year'. From time to time I have really strong, carnivourous cravings... it makes my teeth tingle [crazy] . Mainly it's just for a beef steak with rice and mustard (is the mustard part weird? People tell me so.). But I know if I ever got the urge, I could put it off for another five years.

Haha, don't worry Xanthine: you're not alone! My favourite is blueberry. Mango is nice as well - 'found that out very recently. I've been very hesitant to try new yogurts (I am with anything that is canned/bottled, actually) but I'm willing to give key lime a chance. [Smile]

Limie-land?
..No root beer?
I can't imagine such a place. I'll have to assemble a team of root beer missionaries immediately.
