Or so says Pravda. A Russian scientist claims there is another sun and civilization at the center of the earth. When reading this article, be sure to imagine it being reported in a Russian accent. That makes it much better.

quote:
First our planet was a huge cold lump wandering in the Universe. Being influenced by the Sun and the Universe energy, it was heated up to lava state and then started cooling up. The crust covered the Earth. Meanwhile, the stuff under the crust continued boiling turning into gas, Nedelin believes. Gas expands when being heated. In the core of our planet hollow space aroused, and a part of gas went outside.

Big gas throwing out took place in the North and South Poles. Deep big holes aroused there.

Being a complete and utter groupie of the Hollow Earth by Raymond Bernard, I suggest to you that this so called Russian PhysicistFedor Nevo is a big copy cat and has not given credit where credit is deserved. [Mad]

Sounds like copyright infringement to me, but that's probably not important in Russia. It's just the ol' Russian "We invented that first!" thing that Chekov was always using in TOS.

Sounds like an interesting book, but I don't believe it. Everyone knows only nuclear irradiated mutants live below the surface of the earth. [Wink]

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.
