I'm happy to announce that, for the first time ever, I am a homeowner! We closed on the house yesterday (signed about a zillion pieces of paper) and will be moving in during the next few weeks. Hooray!

Pics on my Mac.com homepage.

Very nice. I'll forgive the previous homeowners for their can of Folger's, since it is a brick-red house - I guess they match, but I would stay away from canned coffee.

Sadly, they took the banana with them. They did, however, leave behind the Folgers can. Turns out it's not full of coffee at all: it's their used grease can and it's 3/4 full. Ick.

Thanks, everyone. To answer your question, rw, the party is right now. Price of admission is 2 hours of manual labor, take your pick: painting, scraping, scrubbing, stripping, mowing, sweeping, pruning, chopping, or clearing.

I can't resist the joke: Who's doing the stripping - will it be TTBs?
I have a feeling you're referring to paint, or furnishings, cabinet contents, etc., but otherwise it would be quite interesting.

P.S. Typo on the main page - I believe Super Flippy is very proud to announce her new house. I'm not quite sure what prud is.

Congratulations! What a cute house! I love the kitchen, and the yard looks awesome. Looks like a really nice neighborhood with plenty of space around the houses and trees and gardens. Wow, you'll get to do whatever you want to with decorating, that would be fun! Post after pics!

Cool! Congrats! But beware: the work of an home owner is never really done...
