I’m not much of a computer geek but I have discovered Gimp, and even more so... I have discovered the Gimp mascot!! [hearts]

But what is his name? Just like Tux has a name so surely must this wonderful creature have one?!

And does anyone know where I can find a black babydoll tee with the Gimp mascot?? I might not be eternally grateful for an URL, but still I would jump around and shout of joy for a while.

I just don't know what to say.

I'm going to have to think about this one.

Used to be able to get all sorts of Linux mascots from LinuxMall but it closed down [Frown] (atleast I got my Tux with a whip [Wink] ).

Maybe if you bug www.thinkgeek.com you might get what you want, they do take suggestions, failing that take the logo to a printers (for clothing) and get it put on yourself.

Good one Drazgal!

I've already bugged ThinkGeek with t-shirt suggestions but for some inexplicable reason I didn't think about them making a *ahem* Wilber T-shirt....

After trying all night I'm now won over. Wilber is a cute name!! And I'm using Gimp only because of him... I'm not a Computer Geek but a Cute Geek!! (Did I get that wrong somehow?)

I only have a GEGL shirt, but that is of old #gimp lore. These days it is the Generic Graphics Library (used to be Gimp 'E' Graphics Library).

I'm not sure if I've ever heard of a Wilber shirt, but the gimp coders have probably made one for themselves at some point.

Btw, welcome other geek from Sweden. I'm more of an IRC regular than a forums regular. Both a regular on the geek culture irc channels and on #gimp since ages ago.

Thank you other Swedish Geek!

Maybe we can speak our ancient heathen tongue on here from time to time to put some ph34R into the Natives? [Wink]

Det låter som en bra plan.

Men jag är sällan här, kanske irc är en bättre plats för att skrämma stackarna? [Wink]

Who, me? Why, Herr Cheez - don't you remember that lonely farm near Göteborgs - you were the travelling goatherd, and I was disguised as a prize Highland sheep - and we lay beneath the stars on the moist Heather - (don't worry - she didn't mind!), listening to the wild elks bay at the Moon...

(I tried doing all that in Swedish - but the dilithium crystals cannae take it Cap'n!)

Jess, I think we should make ourselves scarce when we get to the UK. Sounds like these two want to be alone. [Wink]
