Whatever do you need several concurrent screennames on the same machine on the same network for in the first place? Just move everyone onto a single screen name and save yourself a lot of bother.

ui having multiple screen names on aim isnt because of people on different buddy lists its because you want to bother people without them knowing who it is [Wink] much like mr4 is always pinging me to see if im the person who is bothering him

Spike: Let's hope that JackieLiz finds better things to do with her time than abuse the AOL messaging network (or using the forums as her personal tech support service).

tectv article

Jackieliz,

Check out this program. It's called fire. I don't know anything about it since I am an x86 user only.

I was using Fire 0.6 for awhile--I found it confusing to configure and not a stellar IRC client (it didn't seem to understand slash commands for one thing). Maybe it's better now.

I think this is the program you are looking for. It is called proteus. It lists the following on its about page:

quote:

Out of the box support for AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN and Yahoo! messaging services.

Drag and drop addition of new services via 'Service Plug-ins'.

Host chats for multiple people on different services via Proteus's Broadcasting.

Allows multiple accounts on the same services at the same time.

Includes User Profiles, allowing one-click change of all accounts ( for those people who never log out )

Supports custom away messages. so you can tell people exactly why you're ignoring them.

Have a single-window for all your incoming messages, or just some of them.

Integrates with Apple's Address Book on a per contact basis.

Includes a Dock Menu and a System Menu Item, allowing one-click access to the most common controls.

Includes gorgeus Aqua eye candy like animations window transparency.

An icon you won't mind having in your dock.

Utilizes Apple's text-to-speech engine, giving your messages a voice.

Execute shell commands for incoming messages.

Sounds like what you want, hope this helps you out.
