This whole 'internship' thing is very Amercian, we don't have them here.

All I know about internships, I learned from reading about Bill and Monica, is it that kind of deal?

Bill and Monica have stained (haha) the title of "Intern" for all time!

Dry Cleaner: I couldn't hear you, Miss Lewinski, come again?

Monica: No, this time it's just ketchup.

Oh, sorry to steal your thread, addiew! Congrats! [thumbsup]

addiew,

Are you that girl on the commercial for the new Final Fantasy game for the Game Boy Advance? The commercial that looks like a chat line? Have you seen it? I swear it could be you, same pink streaks in her hair and all.

Howd' you do it? I'm trying to get into the gameing industry, so this is of the utmost importance.

Woot, addiew, congratulations!

TFD, I presume an internship is sort of like what we'd call a cadetship or a traineeship here. Does that sound right to any of those bilingual board memebers? [Smile]

Congratulations! What a relief it must be. Getting your foot in the door is an important step. I hope it's a great company for you, and that you finagle it into a great career.
Yay you!

(PS. An interesting array of games. I'm not much of a game player -- Snood is about all the excitement I can stand -- but I'm downloading a demo now. [Cool] )

I dont sleep much anymore. So thats not a big deal;
How did I do it?
Look for companies in your area which have internships- or just email as many as you can-- most of the smaller companies are the easiest to get into, generally. My theory is if you start with the smaller indie groups you can eventually work your way into a larger company (if thats your goal). I would LOVE to end up at Lucas or Maxis down in SF but I don't *think* I could just walk in and expect a job without some experience (and a degree in CIS or a related field)
