As "The Knights Who Say Nicht" they asked for a shrubery. After being appeased, they declared them selves "The Knights who say Ecky, Ecky, Fa-tang, zoop, wha", and demanded that Arthur cut down the largest tree in the forest with a herring.

Arthur defeats them by saying "it", which is the one word they cannot hear.

EDIT: Seriously, though, DualG-I don't think you should suggest to newbies that we make fun of spungo-it could be taken in the wrong context and lead to abusive posts.

He just forgot to laugh. Indeed, plain out insalting anyone, even with him being him, is wrong. However, you will learn with time what DualG was refering to was the fact that he offten posts with his tounge firmly embedded in his... uhhh... cheek.

knightwhosaysNI's nick is from Holy Grail.

Both Monty Python movies.

[Confused]

Spungo has yet to respond to this thread.

[Confused]

I'm thinking They are one and the same. Spungo's . . . . alter ego?! [Eek!]

/me wipes his brow

Just about posted something I REALLY shouldn't have. My recommendation elsewhere that all of us read posts from multiple perspectives before replying should be amended to include posting without proof reading.

Sorry to get all off topic here, but it wouldn't be GC if someone didn't lead discussions off the beaten path every couple of hours.

Spungo is a convict in a liberal British penal/nudist colony that allows him internet access.

To that we owe the British judicial system a great debt of spam. Rumor has it, that this action has so enraged Parliment that they are considering confiscating the wigs of judges and barristers alike and knitting them into a giant SARS victim memorial blanket.

Spungo's crime was the insidious and willfull distribution of a bovine form of Spongiform Encephalopathy, commonly known as "Mad Cow Disease," hence the nick, Spungo.

At his trial, the former mint jelly baron admitted a more-than-profit-driven passion for sheep -- not only did he like them as meals and outwardly promoted their consumption, he also took them as lovers. (This affection was later adapted to a more human form and served as the inspiration to "Silence of the Lambs.") His aim apparently was to so totally infect the world's beef herds that McDonald's would be forced to sell muttonburgers.

Of course he failed. And it was only the Brit's sick fascination with mutton that allowed him any leniency whatsoever.

His physical form is grotesque and horrifying. Jethro Tull best described him in their song, "Aqualung."

Spungo has also served as an intimate advisor to Tony Blair and is credited with "hyping" intellegence on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. An investigation by Parliment is expected to reveal that Spungo has kept photos of the PM, that Mr. Blair is, shall we say, "Sheepish" about revealing. These photos are rumored to be stored in a safe deposit box in New Zeeland.

Sometimes, when nobody is watching, a few of us will call Snupy, "Clarice."

Why am I telling you all this?

You asked.

Colonel Panic
