The football game was on and I could not sit still. Join me for the afternoon, will you?
I'm making baguettes today. Sit down. Enjoy the game. Like a beer? Ale? Stout? Some homemade bruschetta? I just picked the tomatoes and basil!
Time to get going! Here I go.
No, we were not watching "The Blob!" Ha! Ha! Steve McQueen. Don't be foolish, this is poolish. A pinch of yeast, a bit of flour and water that sits overnight. Hello poolish!
Just the basics. No animals except yeastie beasties!
Then we mix it up with "The Yeastie Beastie!" (You names yours, don't you?) I like the spiral dough hook because it works! Pretty simple! Go Beastie! Go!
The dough is very sticky. So you have to oil up your hands. And the bowl. And your hands. This is a dangerous time if your sweetie shows up in the all-together!
I use extra-virgin olive oil for the taste!
Sunday is a day of rest. Rest dough, rest!
Now it's time to make the rolls and tuck them in. Aren't they adorable? The little darlings. Time for a nappie! See you in ninety minutes. Sweet dreams.
I'm a big fan of the stones! Oh, and the pan is for the cup of hot water. I add that when I put in the bread for extra yummy crust!
All done! Lions won! Bread is yummy and chewy.
Thanks for visiting my house! It was great to have you here!
Have a great day!
Mr. Geek 2U!

Mmmm...looks good. I'd say the pictures are a bit big...but who cares?! (I'm a sucker for good bread!)
My tea seems lonely now. :/
