Viva la dissertation!

I defended today. I passed, but only because I gave an excellent talk. The thesis itself needs some revisions. But I passed.

Party time! [thumbsup] [evil] [Applause] [crazy] [Big Grin]

A big congratulation to our resident lab-rat! Or should I say Dr. Lab-Rat? [Applause] (Ok, you'll probably say that you don't have the title yet, but it's just a technicality now, isn't it?)

Dr. Xanthine... Sounds good!

Not a doctor yet guys. Got to hand in the final version of my thesis first. But I've hit the home stretch.

Well...the lame ones do. :/

I know someone who wanted an e-mail address to contain 'phd' at the end -- utterly lame. Suffice it to say, she very much wishes to advertise her degree. [Razz] OTOH, most professors I know barely point out that they have a Ph.D - it's just a given.
