I noticed the guy complaining about adblocker was on a mac, and the adblocker was on a PC.

subtext anyone?

I can see the easy answer in that, but...

Given that AdBlock Plus for Firefox runs on all platforms that Firefox runs on (Win/Mac/Linux), I wouldn't be inclined to think so.

Personally, I don't use ad blockers, pretty much because I knew that stuff a long time ago. Ads don't bug me too much, unless they're obnoxious things that try to dance across my screen. However, while I don't use any *ad blockers,* I do use NoScript, which blocks any untrusted JS/Flash. This may block some ads, and while that may deprive revenue, the secure operation of my computer is more important than a dancing whatever. (Ad folks: Just use a GIF/JPEG fallback and I /will/ see it.)

Yeah, I think Flash is evil, sorta. Would be nice if there was an alternative. Perhaps the advent of the iPad will make people take that seriously ... :hmm:

noscript will remove the vast majority of ads. Very very very few are just gifs sent now .. even google's text ads are put there by javascript.
