For those of you who haven't ordered your Harry Potter fix yet, and are ordering online, I would humbly ask that you order via one of our Amazon links...

 -
If you shop at Amazon.com, you can shop via this link, and help support our work at the same time.

 -
And we now have an Amazon.ca affiliation for our Canadian fans. [Smile]

 -
And we also now have an Amazon.UK affiliation for our UK fans!

Thanks! [Big Grin]

Swiss,

My wife, who is not a geek and normally not at all interested in fantasy, loves the Harry Potter series. My ten-year-old daughter (who does like fantasy) also loves the stories, as does my six-year-old daughter (who likes certain types of fantasy). And I, caveman/geek that I am, thoroughly enjoy the books.

You ought to at least check the first book out from your local library and give it a go. Or not. The choice is yours. I think.

I've not read any of them either. If I decide to, I'll order through the link.

I've read the first five. The first two (well, mostly the first one) are pretty light reading. The third to fifth are actually quite a bit better, with more serious challenges for the characters to overcome, and more of a message to the reader. If you only read the first one, you might not have the same opinion of the series as someone who's read the later ones.

That said, I generally don't buy new books -- I use the public library.

Also, I still boycott Amazon (the whole patent abuse thing). Sorry, guys.
