I watched the first Torchwood on Saturday. Not sure it lived up to the hype. Has anyone seen others? Does it get better?

It starts off rubbish and gets worse. However, I could not bring myself to not watch it and have ssen the whole series.

/me makes a general assumption...but frankly, the title makes me think "Doctor Who" meets "Smallville" - and that would suck. [Razz]

Torchwood was great!

Ok, so it was corny, highly implausible, full of ham acting and camp as tits... but then so was Blake's 7, original Star Trek, most of Dr Who since Jon Pertwee and a host of other programmes. But these "faults" weren't a problem for those other shows, so don't let them spoil your enjoyment of Torchwood. [Wink]

I thought it improved, but I've only seen three or four episodes. The pilot didn't catch me.

A few of the episodes are a bit weak, but it overall I loved the series, can't wait for the second season to start early next year :-)

By the way, keep an eye on things in the background, there's a couple of things which come up on the third season of Doctor Who.
