Ok, I've had a year or so to mull this over - and I've come to the conclusion that this is Radiohead's best effort so far - even better than OK Computer. It takes a while to get into it (like their previous two albums), but I think it's well worth it. Any opinions?

I have always been a Radiohead fan, I havn't heard to much of there new one but from what I have heard I was thinking about getting it.

Although Hail to the thief is a great album. I'd have to say that The Bends is still my personal favourite.

What do you know, I just opened up iTunes, hit "Play," and "The Tourist" started playing. It's funny how I've formed some associations with some albums and things I've done while listening to them. OK Computer happens to be one I equate with flying up Park Ave., vying for spots with cabbies, but that's just me ![[Wink]](wink.gif) .

I think everyone does the same thing. For me The Smiths largely conjure up the time I spent as a teenager peeling spuds all evening long in a grotty fish & chip shop where I worked my way through high school. Mmm... nice! And anything by Garbage reminds me of getting drunk in a tranny club in Soho... Thomas Dolby is definitely A-level revision music... definitely.

The bends reminds me of the first time I got to drive my mums car. I'd been to a party and was driving back with it on the car stereo. Really loud.
Did I ever tell you that a friend of mine was rolled up in a carpet and wedged behind a sofa by radiohead? They went to my school.

I think he just felt let down, and lucky it didn't escalate. I might be wrong. They soon learnt how to disappear completely after that.
