I've recently resurrected my game boy and am going crazy for tetris. It is the best game ever.

Nothing beats the trippy 'Rainbow Road' on Super Mario Karts. Try completing that when you're on acid... sheesh! [Smile]

Though I'd personally go with Kuru Kuru Kururin. I still haven't beaten that game [shake head]

Favourite gameboy game: Legend of Zelda.
Favourite NES game: There's lots. Either Tetris, Adventures of Link, Final Fantasy 1, Marble Madness, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, or The Castlevania series.
Favourite SNES game: Earthbound, or Final Fantasy 3, or Illusion of Gaia, or Chrono Trigger (I like my RPGs)
Favourite N64 game: Mario Party series.
Favourite GC game: Don't have one.

While I'm at it.. [Wink]

Favourite Turbo Grafx 16 game: Devil's Crush
Favourite Sega Genesis game: Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Favourite Playstation 1 game: Final Fantasy 9.
Favourite Playstation 2 game: Final Fantasy 10.

I haven't bought FF11 yet, so it might take over for favourite Playstation 2 game.

I'm quite a fan of the FF series. I own all of them except FFX2 and FF11, including FF1 on NES, FF2 & 3 on SNES, FF7, 8, 9 on PS1 and 10 on PS2.

4, 5, and 6 were japanese releases only.. well.. sorta.

FF1 = same in Japan and North America.
FF2 = 2 in japan, never released in NA.
FF3 = 3 in japan, never released in NA.
FF4 = 4 in japan, 2 in NA
FF5 = 5 in japan, never released in NA.
FF6 = 6 in japan, 3 in NA.
FF7 through FF11 are all the same in both places.

Oh, and favourite Atari game: Space Invaders or Tankwars or whatever that one was called.

Okay, so I'm lame... but my favorite NES game is Super Mario Bros. 3.

Yoshi was a fun game, too... although obviously a Tetris rip-off.

And I spent hours and hours playing Monopoly on the NES. What a great idea, all the fun of the classic game of Monopoly, without the hassle of keeping all your money and properties sorted and in order. And the computer players were all chumps!

[Big Grin] Speaking of NES, I just bought a complete NES with controllers, orange gun, complete with papers, warranty card, Nintendo Power subscription card, poster, and Tetris 2 which was still wrapped in the plastic, origional RF connector and power supply and a SNES with controllers and power supply for $25 from a yard sale. Now how sweet is that? My favorite NES games are Contra and Super Mario 3. [Smile]

That's a pretty sweet deal. I paid $200 CAD for my NES recently with approximately 50 different games (about 10 of them being rarities that are actually worth money: Tetris, SMB 2 & 3, Final Fantasy 1, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Legend of Zelda, Castlevania 1, 2, and 3, etc.)

A little bit of coin, but I think it was well worth it.

I intend on building a collection of every console from the Atari up to the PS/2.

I'm actually in the rare minority that liked super mario 2... how could you not like uprooting radishes and jumping into strange clay pots with brown masks chasing you?

My second vote goes for Street Fighter II. Words cannot describe this illustrious game.

SMB 2 is pretty sweet. Nothing like stealing a key and having a crazy face chase you around.

The Street Fighter games are awesome too. I have SF2 turbo sitting in a box somewhere.

Wow, this thread is bringing back memeories. My fave games were the Castlevania series, the first Legend of Zelda, Contra, Double Dragon, and the Mega Man series. I also kicked some ass at Street Fighter 2.

Oh boy, too many to name...

If I had to choose a favorite, it would be have to be the original Tetris, just for the sheer amount of hours I put into that game.

Super Mario Brothers 2 and 3 were also high on the list.

On the SNES, it was a toss up between Actraiser (weirdest combination of sim and action game you'd ever see, but it worked), Gradius, and Castlevania. I used to stay up until midnight playing them.

Yeah, those were the days. [Smile]

I saw Fester's Quest at the local market the other day, but having spent all of my money by the time I got there, I was SOL.

Perhaps I'll make the venture out there again next weekend.

Sorry, I'm a Sega fan.

I still have my Genesis and a dozen games for it.

My favorite games for it are Mortal Kombat and Sonic the Hedgehog (the original, the one that came with the system, marked "Not for resale")

Sadly, I own that game, but I haven't had time to sit down and beat it. I'm sure I will one day.
