Watched this movie again recently - anyone else here familiar with it? Absolutely awesome - up there with my all-time faves. Tarantino can eat poo.

If you've never seen it, do so... ennit? [Smile]

Familiar with it? That's the train line I've lived pretty much on all my life - the Pelham Bay #6 (1:23 was supposed to be the time the train left the station, if I recall correctly).

Good movie. It scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid. I still recall seeing it in a drive-in theater with my family. I didn't see the remake though.

For trivia buffs - one of Jennifer Lopez's CDs was titled "On the 6." She's referring to the same train.

"The Railway Children" was plenty scary enough for me, thank you...

I like almost any movie with Walter Matthau in it, it's almost a guarantee of quality. From that period do you also know Charley Varrick, directed by Clint Eastwood's mentor the excellent Don Seigel?

Quite right. E.g. 'Grumpy Old Men'. (Now, I wonder why that film appealed to me...?)

Pelham 123 was indeed a great movie. I must add that to my daughter's required summer viewing list before she goes to film school.
