I'm thinking of getting a PDA but I need to know if there is sync software that runs without being installed on the PC to sync with.
The reason I am asking is because the idiots at our office do not allow us to install software on our office PCs, so I need something that will run and sync my office Outlook tasks/notes/calendar to whatever PDA I will be getting.
Right now I could either go with a Palm Z22 (for an inexpensive PDA) or a converged high-end device like an XDA Atom or a Dopod 818 Pro Pocket PC.
Does anyone know if there is such software that can synch Outlook to either a Palm or Pocket PC, without needing to be installed? The important thing is that it should not leave an obvious footprint on the PC (if I can copy the program to the harddisk directly and it runs, that's fine -- just no obvious footprints like being in the Uninstall menu).
