Nice, but I think he could use a little more flow?

Loosely related, for our benevolent dictator - I finally watched "Star Trek Into Darkness" last night...holy lens flare, Batman! The Tap comics were clearly spot on. [Big Grin]

Even J J Abrams admitted he went overboard with the lens flare.

I was showing my wife an early cut of Star Trek Into Darkness and there was this one scene where she was literally like, 'I just can't see what's going on. I don't understand what that is.' I was like, 'Yeah, I went too nuts on this.'"

"This is how stupid it was," J.J. Abrams added. "I actually had to use ILM [Industrial Light & Magic] to remove lens flare in a couple of shots, which is, I know, moronic. But I think admitting you're an addict is the first step towards recovery."

I, too, finally watched Into Darkness recently. I did notice lens flare here and there, but that didn't bother me nearly as much as how the movie overall was a terrible disappointment to me. I guess I'm just getting old, but I felt like there were major continuity problems that distracted me from actually enjoying the movie.
