We were having a discussion about how much info a website could gather from a visitor to that site?
I know that some of this could be blocked at or in ones router, at the customers ISP. However how much could be learned about a visitor?

Here's some of what's available Not shown: the site that linked you to this site, I know that's available, it's shown in my server logs. I expect there's more that the really clever/sneaky could find out. Oh, and there's various sites that claim to find your location based on IP address, but they always tell me I'm at my ISPs office half-way across town.
Some of the browser specific stuff can be blocked or faked (you can tell some browsers to identify themselves as Internet Explorer, for example) but doing so can make some web sites fail to render properly.
