...and losing any Apple geek cred I've earned over the last decade, I'm getting VERY Very excited over doing my first ever computer show exhibit. Namely that I'll be showing off an almost but not quite yet complete line of Atari 8bit computers AND Lynx games at the Vintage Computer Festival in just THREE WEEKS! If you're in the Chicago area, come by and say hi (it doesn't look like anyone's going to be demoing 8bit Apple gear, but you come help me fend off the hordes of Commodore users ).

Actually Yes, I'm glad they now come in 30packs (I'm not kidding!)
That and I have the D-cell battery pack that Atari sold as an add-on and I'm ordering a NiCad pack from an Atari Vendor made specifically for keeping the Lynx charged. I just have to make sure the units and batteries and cartridges don't grow little feet and walk off....

____ This sounds like a moving museum, I will attempt to find my way there. Now where is that old Texas Instriment.
____ Looking at old equipment is so cool.

It kind of is. Except that by and large, the different festivals get different exhibits based on who lives close and who feels like taking a chance hauling their stuff out of storage to let other people play with. I'm probably going to be exhibiting something like 7 Atari 8-bits, and as many peripherals as I can hook up, along with modern touches, like being able to load disk images into the Atari from SD cards or a USB or serial connection to a slave laptop. And can't forget the two Lynxes.
