As a pc user who never quite figured out how to use a mac(who am I kidding, I can barely use a pc!) and what the hype was all about, I tried out an iphone at the phone store. It was surprisingly easy to use, so I got one. OH....MY....GOD. Is there anything better?

Somebody at work touched it today, and I almost had a heart attack.

Welcome my child....

Reverend Jobs will be along soon to give us all his blessing.

...in the meantime, why don't you try out this 24"iMac - I'm sure you'll get along very well. [Wink]

Oxygen is better. Given the choice, I doubt you would find anyone who would choose an iPhone over Oxygen.

Yes actually

P.S. Ignore the grumpy one on oxygen, what would be the point of living without Apple shinies?

I know!!! I want one!

I finally understand the lust one can feel for an inanimate object.

Those of you who've known me from the beginning as a geek-wannabe who was struggling with her first pc can pat themselves on the back. I think your work here is done. [Razz]

The most recent 'The Oatmeal' is oddly appropriate...

Congrats, HalfVast...you posted before I got a chance to see that in RSS!
Awesome link... [Big Grin]

Apple's mobile devices are indeed nifty...though I'm not quite sold on the iPhone. IMHO, the 3GS is kinda chunky...but I may be biased by my very sleek iPod Touch 1G. I don't know what the 4G will be like, and I don't think I'll be anywhere near an Apple store when it comes out, so I'll check it out sometime after the throngs of The Apple Faithful cool off.

The iPad is quite sweet...though a bit heavy. I quite enjoy using it to read the Times (via the Editor's Choice app), but I would like to see it drop below a pound before I might think of buying one. Native PDF support will pwn in 4.0 -- I don't terribly care for the current crop of e-ink readers, and the iPad is...just a handsome device for the task.

yes a cynical look into iThingy ownership, but withthe newer iThingy that protagonist of that cartoon can record which alleyways contain more or juicier rats for consumption, and look up ways to prepare them online.

I've loved my iTouch and iPhone since the day I got them. They are absolutely outstanding devices. I pretty much live on them.

I'm just a bit sketchy on how practical or useful the iPad will be. I mean, it's only an oversized iPhone without the ability to make phone calls (skype doesn't count).

Thanks! It's nice to be back. The big-heads at work finally realized that they were blocking all 1and1 IP ranges and fixed themselves it seems.
