____ As many of you know I would sometimes lament that I needed a new clutch in my big tractor. Well this past week I took on the job. Most farm tractors are a combination of huge castings bolted together to make a tractor. International built one series that was not that way. So I did not have to split the tractor to get to the clutch, just remove fifty pounds of covers. So by lighting my wallet by two hundred and fifty dollars and about six hours of wrenching my tractor now has a correctly working and adjusted clutch. I have done the the way of splitting the cases and while this seems easier it is not, I wish I had the Iron frame type.

I am not sure it is wise to handle expensive photographic equipment whilst your hands are covered in grease and transmission fluid.

____ I must have used three dozen shop towels on this little job. This morning I topped it off with fuel and started mowing the non crop area (five acres) three hours later we finished and I checked fuel consumption, with the non slipping clutch it actually took less fuel to mow the yard.
