Ballsy effort.

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

(Seriously, I've missed you. Have you been busy? I hope you'll stay around for a while.)

I'm alive! I've been busy.

Graduated undergrad, been working as a Research Specialist at the university I graduated from, and now this fall I'm going for a Ph.D. Very exciting stuff in the world of Biz.

glad to be back though. Hope I don't mysteriously disappear as quickly as I reappeared. [Big Grin]

You poor thing. You're probably all excited about it too. [Wink] [Razz]

Third year is the best. You've passed your quals and you're still learning new stuff and the pressure to perform is low. But after that, it's downhill.

/me finished her PhD this winter.

/me never wants to do that again. Ever.

NB: try to find an advisor who is sane and humane and lets you take time off from the benchwork to write your thesis.

Why not combine the two? I'm sure someone will sponsor a PhD in "interesting things painted on people's roofs" - think of the applications for the advertising industry alone?
