I'm so sorry to hear about his death. I guess I just assumed he was taking a break from the boards. I can't imagine how his family must be coping to loose him at such a young age.

Sorry for dredging this back up... but this makes me so very sad. So young.

(I did also find another link to a LiveJournal entry that perhaps gives a little more insight? I don't know.)

now....
that....
Strikes a very familiar chord in my soul.... When I was 17, my father chose the very same route out of this world....

no more words...
no more silent tears...
one day I may say more of my ordeal.... still a very sore point at times...

I find myself torn in two directions, whenever I hear news like this. First (like you all) I think what an appalling and tragic waste, but at the same time if I could bring him back from the dead for 5 minutes I would want to give him a really hard slap, because I feel just as sorry for his family and friends, if not more so. Dumping that toxic mess of grief and guilt on your nearest and dearest makes suicide one of the most thoroughly selfish and thoughtless things a person can do. My uncle committed suicide, and it cast a shadow on his immediate family (and especially on his daughter, my sweet cousin) from which they can never fully escape.
