One of the latest pieces of speculation to go around the Apple rumour mill, based on the iPhone UI, is that Apple might introduce touch screen technology across all their range. I am fairly sceptical, but if it could be half as cool as this, sign me up!

I'm always wary of touch-screens. They get fussy -- I've dealt with enough kiosks to say this with great assurance.

I'd rather see a tablet, personally.

But touch screens could be nice - greasy, but nice.

Let me just say that Jess did bring up an issue I hadn't considered. Fingertips. How many times have I become frustrated over a touchpad because my hands got sweaty. Or the touchscreen at the bank where I prefer to enter my deposit amount by regular controls when the touchscreen gets it all wrong.

Still it is cool. If they can just get the alignment and sensitivity right...

You could always make it a wireless type of touch, sort of like Minority Report!

While it looks cool and all would you really want to have to move your arms all around and keep them up like that to operate your computer? I'll stick with the small movements of a mouse, trackball or stylus.
