It's the second geek-related tragedy of the winter (that is, outside of what I read in the GC love advice forums).

The Coast Guard has called off the search for Jim Gray, the noted uber-geek who made it possible to overdraw your checkbook without even using your checkbook.

Many of you will recall the tragic death of James Kim.

It appears this geek and nature thing is just not working, particularly if your name is Jim.

So as a friendly suggestion, I recommend that geeks not go outside. Just stay in your room, order pizza, and invent stuff. This should not be a great change of behavior.

If you are a nature geek, or a survival geek, that would be a different thing. But if you are a computer geek, stick with what you know.
