Last Friday was my 24th birthday (I know all your presents are in the mail [Wink] ). Josh decided that instead of a typical cake he was going to make something special for me that was reflective of us. And I wasn't allowed to know what it was!

He borrowed the neighbors' kitchen for a couple nights and on my birthday presented me with this:

 -

 -

Here it is with the "power light" on.

 -

And in its full glory in the dark while they sang Happy Birthday.

 -

Josh and I got to go out for the first time in a long while. I even dressed up and got to put on makeup and everything. [Big Grin]

My birthday was great. We tried out the new theater down the street that serves dinner along with the movies. The food was actually really good! I got to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dean Mans Chest, which was pretty good, but it was way too loud and I couldnt understand everything they were saying. Still, it was a lot of fun and I got to have a real date again. [Big Grin]

Was the cake a working model?

It was truly inspired and I commend your husband for this thoughtful appreciation of his worthy wife!

Happy Belated Birthday Wishes to you, Peebs.

Well in the original plan he was going to have a white LED where the candle is and program his mini sumobot to have it fade in and out as though the computer were asleep. Unfortunately time got away from him, so the candle had to do. [Geek]
