Been meaning to post this on here for a while:

electricsheep.org

Its a cool screensaver. I stumbled across it several years ago, I forget how. Its supported on windows, macs, and several favors of linux. Its based on fractuals and is suppost to be what a computer would dream if they could dream (read the website for more on this). Its pretty cool, as it downloads new ones every so often (actually sometimes every 5 minutes), so you need an active net connection for it, but its well worth it. I highly recommend it, and know that anyone who sees it on my computer always asks me about how I got it.

My tutor has that. I asked him what it was called, and downloaded it, all excited. I was disappointed when I found out that it's not all real-time coolness, but actually pre-rendered.

Still, it's cool how rendering is distributed to users of the saver. And it sure is beautiful.

I've used my qwhale clock screensaver for two years now, and this is the only thing neat enough to make me put it on hiatus.
nice find.

A true sign of success is having a screen saver made in your honor. Phillip Dick, wherever he is, probably has his two thumbs up, way up. [Big Grin]

I have let this screensaver run for 3 nights now and boy have I collected some gorgeous sheep!

Sooo much better than the video art installation I saw tonight... and that cost me $7.00 AND I had to sit on the floor! [Geek]
