OK so now I am in violation of three rules.

I hope this isn't gonna cost me?

(Though generally, the gay-men-have-long-hair idea is taken to be a myth)

Oddly enough, I've never met a gay guy with long hair. Hippies, metalheads, and goth boys, yes, but no gay guys.

(PS, mine's more of a White Zombie freak. [hearts] )

I periodically grow my hair out until it looks like Spungo's avatar. By then either my wife (sometimes my mother) nags me about it so much that I cut it back to what I call "slighly unruly".

When I was in my teens I tried going with long hair, but it didn't work very well. My hair is pretty fine, so when it gets long, it looks thin. It also grows extremely slowly, compared to most people, so I just gave up after a couple of years.

My current trend is to cut my hair pretty short when it gets a bit shaggy. That keeps me to 3-5 haircuts a year.

The problem with mine is it grows too thick, and unevenly thick, regardless of how many times you try to cut it, or style it, it will always been rough looking, and I just can't go around looking rough any more.
