Hello people.

I left for a while because the board seemed to be getting bogged down in political squabbles that went nowhere. Looks like it's settled down a little bit now. But upon my return I see that many seem to have evacuated. Any old regulars still here?

I'm old and I am regular

whether or not I qualify as an old regular is another matter entirely

I'm here. I've just been running around squeaking.

In the past couple weeks I've climbed Mt. Rainier, fixed my chipped tooth, bought a new road bicycle (basically an updated version of the one I wrecked and damn is it sweet - too bad it'll be six weeks before it arrives at my door), and attended a very large conference where I gave a ten minute talk to 900 people. I've also had to battle my way through piles of health insurance bureaucracy (long story, don't ask, it's being resolved) and all the post-travel paperwork the university throws at us to keep up honest. And now I'm tired. [Razz]

I'm still around, and I guess that might qualify me as an old regular, depending on your point of view.

Umm... Oh, yeah. I'm still around, as you can see.

Is it just me? In the past few months, a lot of "regulars from the ancient times" (Internet time speaking, of course) have made recent appearance. Mephisto, Drasca, Spoongirl, Skylar, Colonel Panic and al., some older than others, some have been increasingly back for a while, others just passed by. I guess after the wave of newbies, it's the time of the oldies?

You won't see me complaining, about that, mind you.

I'm not by any means an 'old' regular, and I never left.

Am I the only one here that thinks the term "mass exodus" is redundant?

Exodus: n.

1. A departure of a large number of people.

Yes, it would be rather redundant, but then again it could have had the mass to emphasize the mass amount of people that have left.

Well, I went away and came back. I have been on these boards for maybe four years, yet have not managed to break 200 posts.

Also, what ever happened to Spungo?

Spungo moved out to a farm that has no electricity so that he can spend more time with his flock.
