No...certainly not.

I'm still thrilled at the news - I just wish my friend was working at a nearby place tonight - it's a bit out of my way...and gas prices are bonkers.

Only 2. One from Toronto to Vancouver, and one from St John's to Vancouver. You can drive them end-to-end in about 35 minutes (or 1 double-double as we like to call it.)(

Ooops, it's 1942 and it ends @ 2000. I'm tired anyway.

And for comparison's sake, it's 0.93 Canadian dollar / liter
[Google: ($3.099 / gallon) in (CAD / liter)]

According to ontariogasprices.com, that's only a penny or two less per gallon.

Not even close. Our gas hasn't come below $1.05 in over a week now.

For what it's worth, Canadian gas prices include taxes which are a percentage of the cost per liter. US gas prices include taxes which are a flat rate per gallon of gas. Some quick google searches gave me figures of 30-40%/liter for taxes in Canada, depending on province, and an average of about $.42/gallon in the US (it varies by state).

That would mean US $3/gallon gas, before taxes, is around $2.50 per gallon. $4/gallon Canadian gas, before taxes, would be somewhere around $2.85-$3.00. Half or more of the dollar difference is due to taxes. Worse yet, as gas prices increase, the Canadian taxes inflate with them. In the US, the tax price stays the same.

Conclusion: If you live close enough to the border, you may save money by purchasing your gas in the US.

Please not that all numbers have been rounded way the heck off and anyone can take five minutes to come up with more accurate figures. This just wasn't worth five minutes to me.

dragonman97______________________He also wants to grow switch grass, that stuff is so fragile that plan old field weeds will over run it. But back to the topic most field weeds can be compressed and made into pellets and burned like coal or corn in the proper stoves and or furnace, look at that a whole new industry, how long before we can retrain auto workers to make stoves.
