Don't you want to have flashbacks too?

Ha ha - yeah I have seen that before, it has been going for a long time now - but it is very good and very very realistic.

It's not bad, but I'm pretty sure antialiasing shouldn't be possible on a black and white screen. [Roll Eyes]

And I don't know about anyone else, but those games aren't the ones I remember. I remember things like... Uninvited Guest. Or... Sim City. Or Shufflepuck Café. That sort of thing. Oh, and The Fool's Errand.

Yeah, same here. Though, for me it was King's Quest. The original. [Big Grin] And don't forget the Macxlusive Othello clone -- a better built-in OS game than Solitaire or Minesweepeer, IMO. I don't even want to contemplate how many hours I wasted in the computer lab at school trying to beat that...

Don't mix up "anti aliasing" with "dithering" which was of course how the SE dealt with all "greyscale" imaging.

And also don't blame your built in anti-aliasing for adding it to non antialiased images!

Either way the web SE is still a fun reminder of the way we were - without actually breaking out an old SE [Smile]

Hey... I know the difference. I recently became obsessed with dithering, and spent a week writing my own variants of the Floyd-Steinberg algorithm. [Razz]

Flash, being a vector-based tool, seems to try to antialias everything I do anyway. If I were to attempt a similar project, I think that most of that could be accomplished with XHTML/CSS/JavaScript.
