If you download the seach engine from the Dog's Trust website, each time you search they get a donation.

But it's a worthless search engine. The better idea would be to not go with advertising goons, and just send some donations. [Smile]

why is it worthless?? I use it with Firefox, and it's not the best one, but I wouldn't say worthless. I give donations anyway, so for me, it's a little extra.

snupy: No offense, but...
I don't settle for anything but the best when it comes to search. Right now, that is Google. The amount of money donated from that site is surely pennies on the dollar, and my time is worth much, much more. If you give to the charity, that money reaches them directly, instead of going through a huge marketing engine that turns up very weak results.

Until I see something else worthy, my searching stays with Google. (Or a directly relevant database for specific subjects.)

The strange thing is-when they first advertised it, google was supposed to be one of the search engines you could choose from, along with yahoo and alta vista, I think. Now, it's not there. [Confused]

EDIT: Dman-I really did not expect true geeks such as yourself to even entertain the thought of using this when I posted it. Just the geek wannabes like myself, or animal-lovers!
