So they most likely wont do anything with it, but AOL has introduced a new aspect to the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) TOS. Basically, anything you send over AIM, they can read, copy, modify, alter, and use however they want, yes, even as advertising/marketing/for profit purposes.

I'm moderately sure that's against the law in most countries, TOS or not... well, maybe not the USA due to the Patriot Act, but that's entirely speculation.
