Did anyone else think "Michael Eisner" when you saw the headline?

*raises hand*

I won't follow up on what emotions accompanied that train of thought, though...

The Spirit was awesome. It always had great art and storylines. The opening splash panels were always detailed works of art.

It would seem that if ooby could order a hit on the Prime Minister of Malaysia, (in the thread titled, "Spelling alert"), then perhaps having Micheal dealt with is not out of reach.

I don't know what I was thinking... it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Actually, the "kill the PM of Malaysia" thing is a quote from the Ben Stiller movie "Zoolander".

What can I say, in my world Eisner is Will Eisner. His work with storyline really made the transition from comic to graphic novel, which by the way is a phrase he coined.

I deliberately miss all movies with Ben Stiller in them. Just bad chemistry, I guess, but I can't stand to watch anything he's in.

Btw, does this mean that ooby cannot or did not actually order a hit on the PM? If that's the case, then maybe Michael Eisner is safe, huh? [Frown]

Are you kidding? Steven Seagal is the greatest thing ever to come out of America!

besides, Gary Oldman should win for the simple fact that he has appeared in every movie known to man in a supporting role - although Kevin Bacon should also get a special consideration.

Umm, we forgot a few nominations for worst actor ever. Specifically, Dolph Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone, and Keanu Reeves.

Edit: Oh, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Silly me [Wink]

'scuse me, Greycat, I know I'm new around here. But I do believe I'll have to protest referring ol' William as an "actor". He was a natural in his historic and comedic role as Kirk - no acting required - Thank God!

Now, now - he wasn't that bad. You forget - he was a Shakespearean actor back in the day... and he would have been good if he could just finish ... a... soliloquy... in... under... three... hours.

Don't forget say one sentence with that annoying condescending tone in your voice, and you're set.
