I got an acoustic guitar as I said in the other thread.
Some clothes.
NHL 2K5 for PS2.
Car brush (this was badly needed.)
Toronto Maple Leafs 2005 calendar (sweet.)
Seat covers for my new car. (sexy sexy.)

What I gave:

I got my girlfriend a talking edna doll from the incredibles. She loves that stupid thing. I also got her an X-box game she wanted (outlaw golf.)
I got my sister the 4 dvds she wanted (spiderman 1 & 2, the bourne supremacy, and the butterfly effect) as well as a 21" monitor.
I got my parents a 21" monitor aswell, and an upgrade (badly needed) for their computer.
I got my gf's son some spiderman toys.

All in all it was a pretty good Christmas. I'm a pansy who's kind of sad to be away from his gf, but we're with our respective families, and I'll be picking her up again on the 29th. In the meantime, I can get a little R&R from my job and life's insanity.

I gave Littlestsisthine ROTK:EE and skateboard wheels. I gave SOthine a neck gaiter. I gave Momthine a shoulder bag and a framed picture of a riboswitch (don't ask). I gave Dadthine a Swiss Army knife and a guinea pig stamp. I gave Sisthine Cookie's Fortune, a pretty mug, and a Nerf assault weapon. I got a trip to the spa from Josh, earrings, money, and hand lotion from mom and pop-in-law, towels & bathroom stuff from my brother in-law, and lots of cards. We're off to see my family in Michigan now, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be getting ROTK:EE from them. [Big Grin] And I'll get to see some little kids I've really missed. [Happytears]

My dad shopped off my Amazon wish list and picked out Invader Zim & Happy Tree Friends DVDs, he has no clue as to what they are. Lots of cash this year for the most part, family knew we could use it more for food, rent, bills etc...

Our (my wife and I) gift to most of our family members was a new portrait that we have been getting bugged to get done for some time now.

Oh and I finally got a full time job after being laid off 2.5 years ago! I start 01/03/2005 [Big Grin] But I also found out the week I accepted the job that Apple is opening a retail store 2 miles from my home. I applied for the Genius position.

[thumbsup] [thumbsup] Congrats Bibo. Hope you enjoy it there. If not, hope you get that genius position. [Wink]

Since I don't really celebrate X-mas personally, I just ended up with some shirts and a couple of gift certificates to *shudder* Wal-Mart. The kids made bank though, as did the wife.

Kids highlights:
A new TV, A Nintendo SP, A leapster ( to avoid fights over the Nintendo), A bunch of games for both SP and Leapster, and DVD's.

The wife:
A down comforter and a duvet (don't want to think about the cost), Kitchen goodis(since I do most of the cooking, I guess that is more a gift to me, eh?), Clothes and of course gift certificates.

I got a few articles of clothing and a packet of practice quiz bowl questions [Geek]

I got my brother Splinter cell, only to find out that he already has it >.<

And I got my dad this little guy [Big Grin] (he's a gastroenterologist).

But best of all, the BF gave me an NES emulator with every NES game imaginable on it... [Eek!] I've been playing this thing for hours.

Highlights from my present list include...

A pair of furry white ear-muffs with a pink button attached to them, saying 'floozy' (my best friend thinks I am one [Big Grin] ).

Michael Palin's 'Himalaya', the complete series on DVD.

A framed black and white still from 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'.

Lots of clothing... including a turquoise-and-silver-polka-dot cardigan that makes me look like some sort of geeky Christmas fairy.

The best present, though, was the one I got for my little sister: The Sims 2. I'm addicted, and I don't even particularly like computer games!

I got a page-a-day calendar from my friend, Lauren. For each day there is a new Mensa-approved puzzle [Big Grin] . I thought it was really considerate of her. She knows I'm into this type of cranial* enjoyment and probably thought of how often I ask what the date is... sometimes I miss class because I wake up thinking it's the weekend [Geek] . It's a running joke that my friends always ask, "where's Waldo" because I have such poor attendance (Waldo's my RL nickname).

[EDIT] *I suppose I could describe it more accurately if I used the word 'cerebral', but I like 'cranial.' For some reason I associate the former with a comedian... either Tracy Morgan or Aries Spears. *Shrug*

[EDIT] OH, no! It's Eddie Murphy in Bowfinger: "The audience doesn't wanna have to think that the character's name is Cliff, and that he's being pushed over a cliff and put two and two together! It's too cerebal!"

Can anyone tell me what these are, or point me to a site that has them?

On the same lines, I received the 25th anniversary edition Budweiser Christmas stein...the 25th in my collection also. I cannot believe I have been collecting them this long, it's become a tradition that I get one every year.

I got a bunch of other really neat stuff too. It was a good Christmas. [Smile]

I didn't get any great gifts. My dad bought me a screwdriver set... a screwdriver set.

My best gift wasn't wrapped. Dora-Marie walked three steps not holding onto anything to get to a stuff animal!!!

She got a truely horrible gift. A dress that screams Jon Benet beauty pageant. I'm trying to think of a polite way to dispose of it. LOL

I got an iPod and some Monty Python toys (Killer Bunny slippers, a stuffed animated monster and an animal catapult, trojan bunny set).

Xanthine: score on the Scotland trip! We had an awesome trip there this summer. Drove all through the highlands and up to the Orkneys. Fun, fascinating and damm fine food. Also, we got to visit Donne Castle on the day of the annual Holy Grail festival!

Let's see...I got the usual Pajamas (with popsicles all over them...I think my mom still thinks I'm 13) panties, pink fuzzy slippers with hearts on em', lotions and body washes..and a bunch of fun girly stuff like that. My son on the other hand, made out like a bandit this year. He got this one firetruck thingie that he can sit on and pedal himself through out the house with. It came with a fireman's hat and a bunch of obnoxious little buttons that make siren sounds which he absolutely loved and kept pressing over and over and over and over.. [crazy] All in all I suppose it wasn't too bad.
