YAHOO!!!! My son got his BS in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh! Man, what a ride!

Now, after the initial HIGH .... time for a JOB SEARCH!!! HA!!!

I hope he has more luck finding relevant work than the other Graphic Design people I've met. It's a really challenging field to break into.

However, any success like graduation is well worth an ovation -- kudos to your son.

Actually, we are already paying Parent Loans...yikes! And, now that the holidays are over we are starting the job search in earnest. I will post a review of the job search process in results when he succeeds.

There still seems to be lots of Graphic Design jobs available. We will see! Being an engineer, I am encouraging him to look in "non traditional" areas... specifically product manufacturers where you would not expect to find graphic designers.

Congratulations to your son and to you. Most people don't appreciate how much effort parents put into helping their kids through high school and into college. It's like running a 22 year marathon.
