The Manhattan Airport Foundation is a land-use constituency committed to the immediate development of a viable and centrally-located international air transportation hub in New York City for the benefit of all New Yorkers.

This has to be a joke. I think it would be better to build a floating airprot in the bay.

I am all for the dreamers of this world... but I really think these people are out of touch if they think this will occur.

That or it is a ploy to defraud investors, which they claim to have already.

____ By comparing maps to their jpg. I came to realize that they plan on paving Central Park. I'm sure that will go over well with the owners of the properties next to the Park.

<manhattan airport foundation thinktank solves anouther problem>

hey , you know what would relieve the parking problem at the licoln memorial, paving the washington mall. seriously, I swear parking will be less of a problem there if you do this.

That looks far too much like a joke. Take the "news" articles:

quote:
But in the case of Manhattan Airport, a recent study funded by the Foundation indicates that as trees, ponds and other natural roosting areas are eradicated or relocated to make way for the Airport, migratory geese will simply choose not to return. “Manhattan Airport is committed to do right by our wildlife population,” said TAFT representative Yael Kaufman. “Natural goose attrition is the only humane means of waterfowl control, and the only approach we officially endorse.”
Personally, I like it. Some serious effort gone into that.

Even better, build a huge warehouse over it and store all of the nation's nuclear waste there. The parking is solved because nobody will visit and the problem of where to store nuclear waste will be solved at the same time. Two birds with one stone and all that.

In fact, the radiation is likely to render the members of congress infertile and impotent. Imagine the potential reduction in sex scandals!

It just seems that there is no end to the good that can come from this idea.
