The rest of the story goes that the Secret Service provoked it. They were saying how much greater than Obama the cat was and, well, he had to respond.

Even the cat looks indulgent... "Oh that Obama, he's such a joker! Hah, ya got me good!"

But then, this would go against all laws of cat logic, so I'm willing to admit I might be misreading the situation [Razz]

A Whitehouse spokesperson has said that this was simply a regrettable incident of collateral damage, and that while unfortunate, it will not deter the US government from pursuing its policy of opposing international terrorism in all its forms with a level of vigour commensurate with the scale of the challenge facing all democratic nations, and all societies around the world who share our common values of freedom and the sanctity of basic human rights, regardless of language, gender, culture and faith. The price of freedom from feline aggression is eternal vigilance, and we must all be on our guard to ensure that our people will not one day find themselves under the paw in our own backyard.

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

EDIT: Googled it, and of course, found the explanation. Excerpts he read aloud from his book, quoting a friend of his.

There were a whole bunch more. I laughed until my sides hurt the first time I heard them. I think some of those may have to become ring tones. [Big Grin]
