Daaaaammmnnn....that'd almost get me to reveal my root password. [Wink]

Nice find, Snaggy!

Mind you, I think Red must love the SNL inspiration to that, after all those years of recommendations on IRC. [Razz]

Hey Dman,

I know we all like to feel secure these days - but girls have to know your password to root? Talk about taking safe sex to the extreme...

The part that has me curious ... To me, seduction is not only really slutty and cheap, but in the case of that video, tries to rob of your chance to take stock of what you're getting into. I guess most blokes here don't have a problem with being seduced by a woman, but I've always felt that the behaviour is only becoming of a ho, and it's disturbing and unpleasant.

But then, what's the pleasant way of doing it? Presumably, the same thing .....

I don't think I'd take to the free Mac either -- I'd feel that accepting it would have too many strings attached and most of you know how extremely detached and aloof I am. It's not like being given an old iMac that's not wanted any more, this is a brand new, sexy MacBook that (as long as the resolution is high enough for me!) very desirable -- I could use a proper new development box after all.

If a woman wants to win me over (ha!) then intellect, knowledge and skills and a nerd mindset would win my heart much more than playing the ho, since I'd not be repulsed by her mind.

I believe you've got it backwards, uilleann...

If you're won over by a woman giving you a laptop, she's not the ho.

I think you missed what I meant. My point was that since I'm aloof, I'd not fall for her or otherwise be interested in her at all (unless she had something more worthwhile to offer) so I'd not want to take the laptop, given the strings implicitly attached (assuming you can tie anything to a device that's so flawlessly smooth). Even if the gift in itself made me feel all warm and fuzzy (and you of all people know I have distinct ho tendencies) it would all dissolve into frustration, pain and anger once I realised that there was no compatible mind and personality behind it and nowhere to take anything. This always happens, it's inevitable once I become attracted to anyone -- they're never a nerd.

Ya never know, uill...you might just find yourself in a moment of Pon Farr when facing that situation and just say 'the hell with logic,' and have a field day. [Razz]

Maybe. And then there'd be an emotional pile of shit to clean up afterwards, really sticky and smelly and impossible to remove from any surface. It takes a different kind of detachment to cope with a one-off.

My sound card isn't quite working at the moment, so I just watched it without sound but it was incredibly effective, even as a silent film.
