On the bottom of my desktop are 15 or so small icons. Are they needed there? Do they slow my computer down? How do I get rid of them if I need to?
Thanks

Hi tugguy19. A very brief bit of Googling comes up with this .

I notice you've posted a few simple questions here and there on the boards... I think you'll find that if you Google a bit first, often you can get a good idea of the solution to smaller computer problems. Whilst forum members are very happy to help, I know they appreciate it if you do a bit of the legwork yourself sometimes, if you're able. The Geek Culture website isn't really the type where you post a problem and an expert swoops in to knock it on the head. We like to get to know one another, and for people to contribute answers and comments as well as asking questions.

Just FYI, really. It'd be great if you could stick around and get to know people once your computer issues are resolved.

Google while helpful does not always provide a direct answer, how a question is worded changes how many relevent answers you get.

Thanks, MoMan! I have grown a bit of nerve, both in life as online, and it's lovely fellow members such as yourself who keep me coming back to this place [Smile]
