Is there anyone on here that uses T-Mobile for cell service? (must be a customer in good standing and have had service for at least 90 days)

If so... can you help me with something?

...Interesting requirements there. I have T-Mobile's pre-paid service if that will help you.

I've been with them since January. I was also a customer between 2002-2004 (I had to cancel because T-Mobile did not have service where I was working when I got a new job). What's you question?

I am on AT&T and I bought a phone for my Girlfriend... the problem is it is locked to T-Mobile... if you can call customer service and get the code for a Motorola V3r (IMEI:353285012072062) and post it back for me... cause if I cant unlock this it will be a $120 Mistake. [Confused]

(I dont think prepaid service works for this and they wont give me the code cause I am not a T-Mobile customer and they dont realize that there service sux here)

I don't know how things work in the US, but here in the UK you can go into just about any internet cafe, and for about £10 or less you can get mobiles unlocked so they work on any network and for a bit more debranded to remove the crippled software that the carriers like to infect their 'phones with.

Well yes, you did make a mistake. You should have bought an unlocked phone.

T-mobile is very happy to give the unlock code to t-mobile customers who have t-mobile phones. All of our phones are now unlocked. But.... no vendor wil give you the unlock code for a phone you didn't buy from them - they want you to enter a 2-year contract and get one of their phones. You can usually purchase the code from an unlock service for around $30.

But, it sounds like what you want is a GC member who is a t-mobile customer who will call up, pretend they have the phone with that IMEI # and get the unlock code, then pass it on to you?

It would be nice... otherwise I have to sell the phone...

I would be a T-mobile customer but they do not have the service here that is reliable. It is very spoty. I have already tried the unlock services and sites and the diagnostic said that I need to spend $50+ so that they can short 2 contacts in the phone to unlock it. I have also tried to find someone up here with T-Mobile but all I find are Sprint, Centennial, and AT&T. calling T-Mobile to get the subsidy code is free but I cant find anyone who can get it for me.

Hell if someone can get it for me I will give them $10 when I get a paycheck.

I just need to get this unlocked so that my GF can have it. She has a huge thing for Dragons, Tatoos and Cellphones and this is a dream come true for her.

EDIT: I cant find this phone unlocked... I did look but the Miami Ink Dragon Tatoo V3r RAZR is not available unlocked even from Motorola.

Just call around to local cell phone stores that aren't associated with a single provider. Most large cities will have a few who will unlock the phone for about $25. If there aren't any local to you, there are any number that you can find online to do it although you will have to mail the phone to them.

Yeah... I might have to call around Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo... I just wanted to find somebody who could make this easy for me...

If anyone can, the $10 is on the table. If not... I will keep my eyes open around here.
