I am posting this on the third forum so far but no avail. I hope that some of you geek brothers and sisters will be able to help me with this:

I am trying to copy selected video files from one folder to another and then import the files into iTunes using Automator. I managed to import only audio files through Automator but not videos. First workflow I used was "New Folder" that creates a new folder. Then, I used "Ask for Finder Items" and "Copy Finder Items" into folder. All this went well, but I cannot manage to import copied video files into iTunes. Any help would be appreciated.

I'll play with it - I use automator a lot. Maybe it's just something weird.

An operating system should be like a light switch... simple, effective, easy to use, and designed for everyone.

I also had to use Automator ->Apple Script workflow. How do I set the path of:

code:
 tell application "iTunes" to import

in Apple Script? I need this path:

code:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Movies/

code:
folder "Movies" of folder "iTunes Music" of folder "iTunes" of folder "Music" of home

That's how you do that path in Applescript.

I messed something up. It wont work the way I made it:

code:
 on run {input, parameters}

tell application "iTunes"
launch
tell application "iTunes" to import folder "Movies" of folder "iTunes Music" of folder "iTunes" of folder "Music" of home

end tell

return input
end run
